Indonesian Ambassador visited Rohingya Camps

Indonesian anbassador of Bangladesh has visited Kutupalong refugee camp to see ongoing projects petrnized by Indonesian government for persecuted Myanmar nationals.

During visit, Ambassador of Indonesia said, the international community was stunned by the ethnic cleansing operation and brutal persecution on Rohingyas in Myanmar’s Rakhine state. Expressing her deep concern over such barbaric torture and massacre, she told that Indonesia will work together with Bangladesh in solving the Rohingya crisis and praised loudly for the generiosity of the Bangladesh government for providing food, shelter and health services to the oppressed Rohingya people.She urged to the international community to create more pressure on Myanmar Government to take back it’s citizens to their native land in Rakhaine state immediately.

The Ambassador made the comment while visting the ongoing construction work of shelter at Kutupalong Rohingya camp in Cox’s Bazar on Wednesday (November 8th).

Earlier, Ambassador Rina P. Chumaranu has inaugurated the Free Medical Services Center, operated by Indonesia-based Non-Government organization (ACT) to facilitate health services to the Rohingyas. During the inauguration, senior officials of the Embassy of Bangladesh including Ms. Bhong Bhong, Project Director of Allama Faiz Ullah Foundation and Foreign Affairs Secretary Mohammad Idris were also present among others.

It can be mentioned that the Indonesian government, Indonesia-based NGO organization ACT and Allama Faiz Ullah Foundation are working to give humanitarian services for the Rohingyas who fled fro Rakhaine state by the ehtenic cleansing operation of Myanmar military.Such as construction of makeshift for 1000 familis, Mosque, Free treatment for patient, protection for traumatized orphans at D-block of Kutupalong in Ukhiya etc.
